Your Heart, Your Genius

The world as we have known it is changing quickly. As these structures crumble and reconstruct themselves (before our eyes, daily) the safest place for you is to look inside yourself and to those closest to you. My childhood imprint was from Christian values. The messages embedded in me were to work hard, get a good job, do good, and be good and you’ll be taken care of. Well…some of that may be true but it is only valid if it comes from inside my inner knowing/guidance. I ‘tried’ to [...]

How do you stay inspired?

This quote came from a coaching buddy I met in 2004 as we're completing our coaching certification. It inspires me each time I read it. Believing and specializing in the impossible takes a special kind of person. If you’re reading this then you know that we must remain open to connect and commune with others who share our perspective and can inspire us to stay the course. If we were meant to do it alone we wouldn’t be living on a planet with 7+ Billion other beings. How do you [...]

Obligation or Pleasure?

As a child did you feel like you had to ‘behave’ to survive? Were you raised in a controlling environment? Did your parents lay down the law? Did you hide out, become an overachiever, or people please so as not to get in trouble from an angry, depressed, or emotionally unstable parent? These are just some of the behavior patterns many us have had to maneuver in our early years. Besides mentioned, my overlay included Catholicism (parochial education) and old-school Italian ethics and standards. A client, Susie (not her real [...]

What we can learn from a Projector in a major life transition

Nancy, (not her real name) worked part-time teaching meditation and yoga to teenagers. She had been invited to apply for her current position. A Projector’s strategy is to wait to be invited, the polarity they are asked to balance is success and bitterness. As a Projector, Nancy had sampled success in the career area of her life, yet in other areas of life, she felt resentful and bitter. Nancy is a Splenic Projector, 4/6 Profile, wide Split, Incarnation: Cross of the 4 Ways Completing her Uranus Opposition Life Cycle (40) [...]

Trusting the Unexpected

At a 2014 Winter Solstice ceremony, we were invited to pick a word or phrase for our coming year. What I heard in my Being was "trust." What a 'nice' word, I thought. That sounded safe and manageable, right!? What I did not consider then was how I would learn or express "trust."  Since December 21, I have been tested over and over again to trust my next step, hour, day, conversation, response, disappointment, my insight, and on it goes. My experiences have brought me to my knees in gratitude [...]

Relationships, Human Design Style

If there was ever a topic that gets hoopla, it is the topic of intimate partnership.  One adage says: Relationships are in constant movement, they cannot stagnate. Relationships are moving towards closer connections, or they’re moving further apart. Whenever we judge, blame, or avoid conflict, we perpetuate negative we risk trust and harmony. What actions or intentions move them together? First is agreement and willingness to move closer together, followed with understanding, compassion, acceptance, and clear communication. One of, if not the most treasured outcomes from learning and experimenting with [...]
